Inside the app
Journeys, Voyagers and Guides: how Crowd Save The World works
Crowd Save The World has its own words for things. Here's a two-minute tour so you know your way around on day one.
Voyagers
Every member is a Voyager. You can follow people, join journeys, reserve a spot at events, post, comment and message. Your posts are public by default so they can inspire others, and you can make them visible only to people you voyage with, or only to you, in Settings.
Journeys and Journey Keepers
A journey is a cause or project that people join together, like cleaning a river, planting trees or running a winter coat drive. Whoever starts a journey becomes its Journey Keeper. Keepers welcome new members, add events, share updates and can link a GoFundMe if the journey needs money.
Events
Events are where the app leaves the screen. Each one has a date, a place and a limited number of spots. You can see what's happening near you, reserve a spot, join a waitlist when it's full, and get a reminder the day before with directions.
Guides
Guides are trusted members chosen by the Crowd Save The World team. They're the only ones who can share a post with everyone in the world at once, so important causes travel far without turning the feed into a shouting match.
Money, kept honest
Donations go through each journey's own GoFundMe page. Crowd Save The World never holds the money and takes no fee. Journey Keepers post "What we spent" updates, so everyone can see where it went.
World Saver TV
Our own channel of short shows and live streams about people doing good, from reef surveys to repair cafés. It's built into the app.
Two languages from the start
The app speaks English and Spanish, and any post or comment in another language has a Translate button that works right on your phone.
Ready to be one of the first Voyagers? Join the waiting list and we'll let you know the moment the doors open.
